Well, it's the dramatic climax that fully delves into the gruesome side of this show, and it's strong enough to bring it to this list.

Without spoiling it, the ending completely flips everything. It converts Berserk from a slow-paced but beautiful medieval fantasy to a disgusting, nightmare-inducing gore fest, filled with death, horror and one of the most disturbing scenes ever animated.
