10 GREAT TV Shows You Can't Watch Anymore

Sony's sloppy merger of Funimation and Crunchyroll left a lot of casualties. Despite promising a smooth and, more importantly, total transition of content from Funimation's site to Crunchyroll, many series have been left in the dust and show no sign of re-emerging.

One particularly tragic casualty was Silver Spoon, a cosy slice-of-life anime adapted from a manga by the great Hiromu Arakawa.

The story follows a bunch of kids attending an agricultural school, based heavily on Arakawa's own upbringing. While sadly overshadowed by the monolith that is her magnum opus - Fullmetal Alchemist - Silver Spoon garnered appreciation in its day for its frank, authentic portrayal of farm life and agricultural science. It was also pretty damn funny while doing it.

Unfortunately, it, and many other anime that we once had ready access to, are stuck in limbo until Sony finally brings it to Crunchyroll. There is a lovely box set of the show for those interested, but those looking for the convenience of streaming will be left disappointed.
