10 GREAT TV Shows You Can't Watch Anymore

8. Close Enough

J. G. Quintel became a legend among the second wave of Cartoon Network creators with his offbeat and hilarious cartoon, Regular Show, so plenty of animation fans were hyped when HBO Max announced that they were collaborating with Quintel to create an adult animated show for the service. After all, Regular Show got away with a lot that otherwise wouldn't fly on the more kid-focused Cartoon Network, so the same creator making something for a streaming service - where standards were looser - was exciting.

Close Enough - which centred on a family living in a cramped apartment building with four other people - ran for three seasons on HBO Max, and was looking to go for more. But then, in came David Zaslav.

Zaslav almost immediately became one of the most cursed names in Western animation by taking HBO Max's library of legacy and original animation and gutting the whole thing. Shows were either booted from the service or wiped from existence entirely, and Close Enough was no exception.

Close Enough lingered for a bit longer on Netflix, but when the contract expired there, that was it.
