10 Great TV Shows You'll Never Watch Again (And Why)

6. Sherlock

Game Of Thrones Danaerys Death
BBC

The legendary Sherlock Holmes has become one of the most re-imagined characters in literature. Reputedly, more than 70 actors have played the iconic role across 200 films. The likes of Robert Downey Jr., Ian McKellen and Will Ferrell have all portrayed him, though only Ferrell's version has caused multiple people to walk out of the theatre during the movie.

Benedict Cumberbatch made a name for himself playing Holmes in the BBC series, Sherlock, alongside Martin Freeman as Dr. Watson. Even with only 13 episodes across four series, Sherlock was still able to make a huge impact.

Re-watching shows based on mysteries can be highly unsatisfying as the reveal is so important to the story. Once those mysteries are solved, there's little to go back to after that. But if you haven't seen Sherlock and the story remains unspoiled, the performances of Cumberbatch and Freeman are more than worth the price of admission.
