10 Great TV Shows You'll Never Watch Again (And Why)
5. 24
24 was a groundbreaking series in that it told its stories in real time. Each episode in a season represented one hour in the same day. There were eight seasons, so that meant the story happened over a period of eight days in the life of counter-terrorist agent Jack Bauer.
Calling it a ratings juggernaut might be one of the greatest understatements of all time.
This was one of the the most intense shows on TV in its day, in part due to the format but also due to the performance of Kiefer Sutherland. The problem is this intensity doesn't maintain when you try to watch the show again. You're constantly wondering if and how Bauer is going to pull things off the first time around. Once you know the answers to both of those questions, the intensity is gone.
