It wasn't just Batman himself that the series got right, however, it also handled the various members of the Bat-family very well, and as this episode shows, was not afraid to confront the tragedy and darkness that occurs in the lives of Batman and his friends. In this two-parter, mobster Tony Zucco returns to Gotham and Robin sets out to get his revenge on the man who murdered his parents. While Robin's vendetta consumes him, Batman must find Zucco before Robin does the unthinkable... The episode also shows the heart-breaking origins of Dick Grayson's Robin and, as such, shows the similarities in these two haunted orphans but also foreshadows Bruce and Dick's separation that occurs when Dick becomes Nightwing in The New Batman Adventures. If you still don't believe us that this is a belter, it won the Emmy for Most Outstanding Half Hour or Less Program.
