10 Greatest Jesse Moments In Breaking Bad
9. Confronting Walt - End Times
Out of all seasons of Breaking Bad, Season 4 feels the most like a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. Whereas the last season felt like walking on eggshells from the minute it started, the race that Walt takes to bring down Gus Fring has you on the edge of your seat from the minute it begins.
Though Walt may have seen his death coming after the DEA emphasizes security on Hank's house, he probably didn't expect the one who would come to deliver the deed.
After initially thinking that Jesse arrived to confer with him about their next move, Jesse takes the gun off of the couch and threatens to kill Walt for poisoning Brock. It's not like Jesse isn't justified here either, since Walt has been known to manipulate him at every turn to get what he wants. Even when pleading for his life though, that same manipulation seeps through just as well as it used to.
Despite the obvious parallels to a scene from Reservoir Dogs, this is a brilliant mental game of chess between Walt and Jesse, as he lets his inner Heisenberg take over and turn his thinking around to take down Gus once and for all. While we would eventually figure out the cruel bait and switch later, this is one of the last real emotional gut punches of the 4th season before we got to more bloodshed.
