10 Greatest Jesse Moments In Breaking Bad
7. It Has To Be You - Full Measure
Given all of Breaking Bad's strengths, Vince Gilligan sure as hell knows how to leave you on a good cliffhanger. While not every episode has to be the most intense moment in all of television, leaving you with just a suggestion of what's to come is enough to keep you up at night. And when it comes to the cold stops on the show, Full Measure is probably the darkest road that Jesse could have gone down.
In an attempt to save their own skin, Jesse is clearly troubled before getting a call from Walt telling him 'it has to be you.' Turning up at Gale's apartment, Jesse has to end up killing his potential replacement just so he won't be wasted by Gus or his minions. You can clearly tell that this is eating at Jesse from the moment the scene starts, ending on him fighting back sobs before eventually pulling the trigger.
As the series progresses, you can tell that this kind of violent behavior is slowly eating away at Jesse too, from questioning whether to tell Andrea about it to even becoming a part of his confession to Hank Schrader featured in the special features of the series. Given that Jesse was always about taking care of people, this was one of the first times he ever deliberately went this far past his own moral code.
