10 Greatest Prison Break Characters - Ranked

1. Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell

Michael Scofield Prison Break Tattoo
Fox

Seasons: 1-5

A convicted murderer, rapist, kidnapper and Fox River's most notorious prisoner at number one? Yes. Why? It's all due to Robert Knepper's tour de force performance, which has led to many to suggest that he would make the ideal person to portray Batman's greatest nemesis, The Joker.

There are many iconic characteristic traits that make T-Bag stand out: holding out his pocket for the young prison newbie for them to humiliatingly grab in exchange for safety; the sly and sickening licking of the lips; an eloquent wordsmith allied to a villainous mindset; an ultimate survivalist, which was graphically proven when he decides to chop off his reattached hand when tied to a radiator. Of course in reality, any level-headed person would - and should - abhor T-Bag, but this being a TV show it's perfectly normal for any level-headed person to instead grow to love him (think Negan in The Walking Dead).

T-Bag's traumatic childhood at the hands of his abusive father reveals the genesis of his terrible adulthood, a father who also forced T-Bag into reading encyclopedias and the dictionary, hence his impressive, wide-ranging vocabulary; goes well with that new Luke Skywalker-esque bionic hand of his.

Yeah, but what about Sara, C-Note and Abruzzi? Well now's your opportunity to post your favourites in the comments' section below...

The name's Colbourn, James - yeah, doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
