Turncoat is one way to describe the redoubtably ruthless Secret Service agent who did anything and everything possible to keep Vice-President Caroline Reynolds on conspiratorial course for the top job of US Commander in Chief. Kellerman's vicious deeds, amongst many others, included: being instrumental in framing Lincoln for the "murder" of Reynolds' brother; killing his partner Danny Hale who gave up vital information to Veronica Donovan; befriending then attempting to murder Sara Tancredi.

That latter failure ultimately leads Kellerman to being disavowed from The Company. Understandably feeling a little miffed, he goes into self-preservation mode and helps Lincoln and Scofield escape by shooting Alex Mahone, and therefore assists the brothers to bring down the now-President Reynolds and The Company. However, Reynolds preempts their blackmailing her in revealing that her brother is actually alive by announcing she's resigning as President. With seemingly nothing to live for, Kellerman tries to commit suicide but fate intervenes in the form of a jammed gun barrel.

Whilst being transported, having been arrested for confessing to the conspiracy, we're led to believe (how silly of us) that Kellerman is gunned down by a kill squad, but a few years later we see him totally transformed in becoming US Congressman. Which Jekyll and Hyde persona of Kellerman will we see in season five?
