7. Brad Bellick

Michael Scofield Prison Break Tattoo
20th Century Fox

Seasons: 1-4

Fox River's corrupt correctional officer liked to play the tough guy but, really, he was a bit of a loner and a softy. He was also a pesky nuisance in trying to antagonise Michael, believing he's up to something no good. Hmm...not much going for Bellick here. However, his initial insight into the eventual Fox River breakout and the fact he managed to locate the escapees on significantly fewer resources showed he was more than a match for the intellectually-superior pair of Michael and Alex Mahone.

Most of us took felt little or no sympathy in watching Bellick's capitulation from a relative position of strength into abject humiliation that included: fellow CO Roy Geary confessing to Bellick's illegal activities at Fox River which got him fired; Bellick's time at Fox River coming full circle in the worst possible way for him when he gets sentenced to 25 years in the penitentiary for Geary's murder; and seeing him stripped down to his underpants by his fellow Sona inmates.

But then Bellick went through a cathartic process during season four, and he eventually earned heroic salvation when sacrificing himself by holding up the cylindrical beam that runs through a running water pipe so Michael and Co. could access The Company's headquarters.

The name's Colbourn, James - yeah, doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
