10 Greatest Saturday Night Live Guest Hosts

4. Drew Barrymore

Unfortunately, Drew Barrymore is the only female to make the list. While that doesn't mean that the women hosts haven't been funny, it seems like the writing staff has a hard enough time coming up with good content for their regular female cast members, let alone people with unquestionable comedic ability who are only going to be on the show once. Consider, for example, January Jones. She may not have been hilarious when she hosted, but there's only so much you can do with a scene where you're asked to play Grace Kelly with a flatulence problem. That said, Drew Barrymore is a gem. Back when she was a kid, she was the youngest ever host of the show, and is one of only two women in the Five Timers Club. She's always game for pretty much everything they can throw at her, and her impressions are surprisingly spot on for an actress who hasn't really made a career out of that kind of humor. But there will always be a special place in our hearts for her contributions to Will Ferrell and Rachel Dratch's Lovers sketch. She's just a class act, and it's clear that everyone on the show enjoys working with her.
