10 Greatest Star Trek Courtroom Episodes

Another courtroom episode that relies on the performances over the mystery (of course Worf didn't kill innocent civilians), the great Ron Canada's turn as Ch'pok, the Klingon Prosecutor sent to convict Worf, stands out as a powerhouse of logic, and emotion, here. His job is less to convince the advocate that Worf is guilty of a particular crime, and more so that Starfleet is committing unstable captains to their fleet.

For a time, it looks as though Ch'pok might in fact be winning - he successfully goads Worf into attacking him, while on the stand. It's a low moment, as Sisko shouts for Worf to stop, and the music swells. While Ch'pok may be a great warrior in the courtroom, his physical strength is no match for Worf.

In some ways, Ch'pok does succeed at his job - elements of it, at least. While there never truly was a crime to begin with, he was assigned the task of destabilising faith in the Federation. For a time, it seemed as though he was there.
