Here he returned and gave us an excellent story of love and loss, showing us a wonderful woman and the lonely Time Lord who seemed to genuinely love her. We knew that she couldn€™t go with him in the end, but the fact that the Doctor couldn€™t even be there when she died was a really heart-wrenching moment.
