10 Horror TV Shows That Deserved Another Season
9. Scream Queens
Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck are the kind of TV creators you either love or hate. They've got a pulpy and vibrant style that (somehow) manages to work for both their hit musical - Glee - and their anthology horror series - American Horror Story. The infamous horror/comedy Scream Queens felt like a bridge between those two, and love it or hate it, it's a shame it didn't get a third season.
Scream Queens was a semi-anthology series that followed an all-star cast (including Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Jamie Lee Curtis and more) as a serial killer hunted them in differing locations. The first was a sorority house, and the second was at a hospital. This setting change helped make each season feel unique, and fans were keen to see what would happen next. Then, Fox axed the show after its second season.
While Scream Queens gave viewers plenty to groan at - such as its worship of celebrities and the typical jarring tone expected from Murphy/Falchuck - it still had a popcorn horror vibe that was easy to sit through, which is what made the cancellation so disappointing.
Still, despite being off the air, Murphy has stated that he's still working on making a third season happen, so fingers crossed for the Queens!
