10. "Moffat Lies"
Steven Moffat likes to give his audiences puzzles, and watch them dance. He'll lay out a couple of clues, and then step back as the fandom descends into chaos, while a small group theorises that Susan's returning somehow (always Susan rumoured by that same group). But whenever someone comes up with a theory that doesn't quite abide by the clues, there's an excuse at the ready: Moffat lies. Moffat has lied once, and that was about past Doctors returning; even then, he was telling the truth that no Classic actor would return to play their Doctor. He was telling the truth when he said that Amy and Rory died in their finale, and he wasn't lying about the Doctor's secret being revealed. He just likes to tease. Maybe fans are getting confused with Rule no. 1: the Doctor lies.
