9. What Will Happen When Loki Reaches Asgard?
With the Tesseract in hand, Loki could have ended up anywhere in the universe. Though it appears he didn't have much control over where he landed on the other side of the worm hole, at least he was out of New York and away from the Avengers.
The only other place he likely wouldn't have wanted to land, other than on Thanos' lap, is Asgard. After committing war crimes on Earth, the Asgardian justice that awaited him is something that he would want to avoid at all costs. Yet, in the trailer he invites Heimdall to bring him home with the Bifrost.
This raises all kinds of questions. Is he being sent there on a mission by the TVA, or is he working for his own personal gain at this point? If the former, what do the TVA want on Asgard, and if the latter, why would Loki willingly return?
And what will happen when he does return? There is no way he is welcomed home with open arms, but who exactly will be there to meet him? Could there be a cameo from the likes of Heimdall, Odin, or even Thor?
