10 Iconic Animated Series To Stream On Disney+

4. Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Gargoyles Series
Lucasfilm

Set between Star Wars prequel Episodes II and III, Star Wars: The Clone Wars achieved something people thought was impossible before it came along by making those prequels watchable.

The Clone Wars did a lot of things well. It made the clone troopers interesting and unique, giving many of them personalities fans could latch on to. The Jedi who appear in random scenes without lines in the movies are given a chance to become fully formed characters. The intricacies of Palpatine's plan are fully on display as he manipulates an entire galaxy.

Most importantly, it actually made it look like Anakin had a chance to be a great Jedi instead of the inevitability of his switch to the Dark Side fans got in the movies. For that reason alone, it's worth checking out The Clone Wars if you haven't already.
