Friends was a show jam packed with celebrity cameos, and so many could have made the cut here. Because of that, Roy might not have been everyone’s pick, but by virtue of Danny DeVito’s excellent performance, it lands itself on the list.

Julia Roberts, Hugh Laurie, Reece Witherspoon, Robin Williams, Isabella Rossellini and a fair few more might have earned Roy’s spot, but alas no. While there is undoubtedly competition then, no one could argue Danny DeVito’s turn in The One Where The Stripper Cries isn’t worthy of inclusion here.

Danny DeVito has had a long and legendary career, one which has had a revival in his autumn years on It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Even with the unhinged antics of that show though, he’s never quite had a role like this.

DeVito is the stripper booked for Phoebe’s bachelorette party, and despite his enthusiasm, he clearly lacks some of the necessary skills. He’s upset that Phoebe clearly isn’t enjoying it, but she eventually talks him around he gives her an even more enthusiastic dance than before.

It’s funny, charming, and showcases the warmth of a show like Friends brilliantly.
