10 Iconic TV Characters Who Only Appeared In One Episode

4. Country Mac - It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia

Scary Terry Rick and Morty
FX

Country Mac is the cousin of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia regular Mac, and was exactly like him and yet completely different. Played by the always fantastic Seann William Scott, Country Mac made a lasting impact on the cult sitcom, despite only appearing in a single episode.

Like our Philly Mac, Country Mac is gay. However, he’s very comfortable with his sexuality, and doesn’t go to the absurd lengths Mac goes to to pretend otherwise. He’s also religious, but without forcing his views down everyone’s throats.

He’s also an actual badass, not someone who just tries to act like one the way Mac does. It’s not just all this which him great though, it’s how seamlessly he slots into the IASIP world.

A lot of characters in It’s Always Sunny pop up with hilarious cameos, but Country Mac is unrivalled for how well he folds into the world. He immediately finds the rhythm of the Gang, and in the end it’s unfortunate that he didn’t stick around longer.

Fourteen seasons in, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is still going strong. They’ll have to do something truly special to ever eclipse Country Mac though.
