10 Ideas For Agents Of Shield Spin-Off
1. Deathlok
Ever since the revelation that J. August Richards’ Michael Peterson had been transformed into Deathlok during the first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., many fans hoped that he might get his own spin-off. Deathlok’s return in recent episodes, coupled with the announcement of a new show in development, could mean that the new series will feature Richards.
Richards is a great actor who was a joy to watch in Angel, another Whedon-produced series, and could certainly carry a show on his own. There’s plenty of material to draw on for stories, given Deathlok’s recurring appearances in the comics over the years.
The Marvel Universe has consistently featured agencies and corporations trying to co-opt or create their own Deathloks. Peterson could get wind of some of these, possibly from the likes of Roxxon, and embark on a crusade to eliminate them.
The most-recent Deathlok comic has a company named Biotek using a Deathlok against his will to perform assassinations for them. Maybe have government operatives like Jack Truman, who in the comics was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and briefly a Deathlok himself, going after Peterson.
