10 Ideas For Agents Of Shield Spin-Off

9. Howling Commandos

Who’s to say that the new series will occur within the same time frame as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? We’ve already seen some ties between this show and the past, which led to the Agent Carter mini-series. And during Agent Carter, we discovered that the Howling Commandos were still off in Europe.

What were Dum Dum Dugan, Jim Morita, Gabe Jones, and the rest of the Howling Commandos up to during that time in Europe? A Howling Commandos series could not only focus on the time period between Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but could also go back in time and fill in more of the war-time period that was only briefly touched on in Captain America: The First Avenger.

The only problem with a Howling Commandos series is that it probably won’t have as strong a tie to the current season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. More than that, after Agent Carter, doing another spin-off in the past might be perceived by viewers as sort of a “been there, done that” sort of thing and that could make it harder to gain any sort of traction.

Unless of course there’s more connections to the past that will be brought to light in the remaining Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes this season.
