10 Idiotic Decisions By TV Characters Who Should Have Known Better
1. Barry Creates Flashpoint - The Flash
"Time travel is dangerous. Don't do it." - Literally at least 80% of the characters on The Flash, including Barry Allen himself.
Distraught over the death of his father, Barry creates an alternate timeline called Flashpoint in which both of his parents are alive and Wally West is the Flash. Once that falls apart, Barry attempts to reset back to the previous timeline.
However, as a result of Barry's meddling, Savitar is now a threat, Caitlin Snow gains unwanted and dangerous superpowers, Cisco Ramon's brother is now dead, and Barry has to share his CSI lab with Draco Malfoy.
Barry once explicitly told Oliver Queen, "when you mess with time, time messes back" during Season 2. At the end of Season 2, Zoom is dragged into the Time Force by Time Wraiths for messing too much with time. All of this is to say that Barry Allen is incredibly aware of the consequences of time travel.
And then he did it anyway.
Seriously, Barry should never be allowed to ever make even the smallest decision for the rest of his life. He completely ruined the lives of everyone around him because he couldn't cope with the death of his parents. It's a miracle that anyone on Team Flash would forgive him for his blatant selfishness.
In the end of Season 3, Barry is forced to be imprisoned within the Time Force. The punishment is certainly befitting of the crime.
