10 Infuriating TV Characters We Couldn't Decide To Love Or Hate

7. Dennis - It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

Dennis is a straight-up sociopath and without a doubt the most remorseless member of the gang. And for a show like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where literally everyone is a terrible person, that's saying something. Some of his strongest moments are when it becomes abundantly clear that unlike some of the other characters, who are just jerks, there is actually something wrong with Dennis on the inside. The guy is basically two steps away from being Dexter. Consider the scene where Dennis confides in Mac that he's starting to have feelings again, under the assumption that everyone stops having emotions once they reach adulthood. Also his belief that taking girls out onto a boat will make them have sex with them, because of the implication (he's very clear on the fact that this is not rape, despite everyone else's insistence that it definitely is). So how do you like a character that has no redeeming qualities? It's a mystery, but it definitely happens. It's probably something to do with the way he fluctuates between apathetic and dickish to patently evil.
