10 Infuriating TV Characters We Couldn't Decide To Love Or Hate
5. Ted Mosby - How I Met Your Mother
Alright, so Ted Mosby is the lead character of How I Met Your Mother, and we're supposed to like him. To be fair, he does come off as a genuinely decent human being. But he's also undeniably pretentious, a little needy, and overall pretty desperate for a man in his early 30s with his entire life ahead of him. Come on, you know that as soon as you saw Ted Mosby decide to recite Dante's Inferno in the original Italian, you kind of hoped that he would never meet the woman of his dreams and just die alone. His overwhelming desire in his late 20s to find a wife and immediately procreate isn't quite as endearing as the writers undoubtedly imagined it would be. Cool your jets, man. You've got plenty of time, and women can smell the scent of desperation a mile away. It's not attractive. And the less said about his penchant for pronouncing the ash in the traditional spelling of encyclopedia, the better.
