3. Spence (The King Of Queens)
Spence Olchin, brilliantly played by Patton Oswalt, is one of the most depressing characters in television. Spence is crippled by his own paranoia, demonstrated by his job as a token vender in the New York subway, protected behind a glass booth. He also spends a majority of the series living with his mother and unable to talk to anyone outside of his close friends. Its safe to say life hasnt been very fortunate to Spence and he spends most of the series being taken advantage of. Its only until he strikes up a friendship with Dougs cousin Danny that Spence starts to stretch his legs a bit, but even then its clear hes still the subordinate in the relationship. Spence hasnt necessarily done anything to deserve the cards fate dealt him; in fact were often left feeling rather sorry for him. Hes the spare part of the group, struggling to fit in with not only his friends, but society.
