10 Innocent TV Characters Who Were Horribly Mistreated

4. Seymour (Futurama)

Futurama generic Granted Fry€™s old dog Seymour was only really featured in one episode, but boy was it a belter. Originally a street dog, Fry befriended Seymour and adopted him, forming a strong bond in which they shared pizza and sang €˜Walking On Sunshine€™ (I€™m not kidding). As we all know, Fry was cryogenically frozen for 1,000 years, thus Seymour never saw his master again. Of course, we didn€™t know any of this until the episode €˜Jurassic Bark€™ in Futurama€™s fourth season. In one of the saddest moments in television, it was revealed that Seymour had waited for Fry ever since he was frozen, a whole twelve years until his death. As Seymour prepares to lie down for one final sleep, Connie Francis€™ €˜I Will Wait For You€™ plays out his final breaths... and there wasn€™t a dry eye in the house. Personally, it took me a while before I could watch €˜Jurassic Bark€™ again. It was that traumatising. Seymour was an innocent dog and though he wasn€™t harshly mistreated as such, he spent more than half of his life waiting for Fry until his eventual death.
