10 Insane Things That Must Happen In Game Of Thrones

5. Wildlings Man Every Tower Along The Wall

Jon Snow is loved by the brothers of the Night's Watch, though there's certainly a faint respect growing from the wildlings. He honoured Ygritte with a proper send-off north of the Wall after the request from Tormund, while he showed mercy to the wildling raiders, keeping them captive at Castle Black. Tormund and Co. also witnessed Jon's mercy killing of Mance Rayder as he burned on the fire, and while some saw that as a weakness, Jon's compassion prove to be another step closer to relative peace with the wildlings. Now consider this: the Wall has been largely abandoned, with just three of its 19 castles still manned. Jon ordered Janos Slynt to oversee the rebuilding of one tower, though he refused with fatal consequences. The new Lord Commander clearly has plans to fortify the Wall, and with 100,000 wildlings lurking just beyond it, they could be united and used to defend each tower, restoring the Wall to its former glory. They want to escape the White Walkers just as much as any person in Westeros, so could this be the start of a new alliance?
