10 Invincible Comic Moments We Can't Wait To See In The Series
9. Oliver!
Nolan's departure from earth means the planet is temporarily free from the threat of Viltrumite invasion, and Omni-Man quickly sets his sights on another planet to conquer: Thraxa.
Its inhabitants have a desperately short life span, and after inviting Mark to the world, it appears that Nolan has found a new mate. He made quick work of producing a purple child that is later raised by Debbie Grayson and given the name Oliver, the often wayward, always interesting half brother of Mark.
After a brief stint as Kid Omni-Man (original, I know), Oliver matures into a character who is human in looks alone. He's half-Viltrumite and half-Thraxan, which means he doesn't truly feel any love for Earth and its inhabitants. He's a good kid at heart, but his biological disconnect from humanity makes him truly unique.
From his obscure choice in women to his sneaky (albeit brief) alliance with Thragg, Mark's little brother is so often more interesting than the main man himself.
In truth, Oliver is one of the most intriguing and complex characters in the entire series. Thankfully, fans of the show will soon be introduced to the little tyke, and comic veterans are surely salivating at the opportunity to reacquaint themselves with the character.
