10 Kindest Things Rick From Rick & Morty Has Done

He’s not the good guy very often, but sometimes Rick comes through when he’s needed most.

Rick Sanchez isn’t the nicest person on TV. In fact, he’s one of the most ‘anti’ anti-heroes on television, often prone to some of the most violent and selfish behaviours ever seen on the small screen. Despite this though, he’s not all bad.

In fact, on some (admittedly rare) occasions, Rick has been downright decent. Though he doesn’t always express it in the best way nor would he ever admit it, he loves his family. He’s often acted against his own interest to help them, but these moments are hugely outweighed by the times he’s been incredibly self centred and placed them in grave danger.

Still, credit where it’s due, Rick sometimes pulls through. Rather than focusing on his many, many misdeeds, it’s time to shine a light on his kindest moments. With Season 4 right around the corner (finally), it’s worth reminding ourselves that Rick can be a good guy sometimes.

Of course, there’ll likely be many bloody rampages and explicit rants in Season 4 to cancel out any semblance of heroism raised here. For now though, let’s just take a moment to look back on all the times Rick was actually the good guy.

10. Being Nice As Tiny Rick

You could argue that Tiny Rick isn’t technically Rick, but it’s Rick’s consciousnesses in the body of a younger clone of himself. While it’s not technically ‘our’ Rick then, in a show with alternate realities and alternate Ricks, a younger clone of Rick C 137 is definitely Rick enough to qualify.

That's a lot of Ricks.

He joins the school to help catch a vampire, but that almost immediately takes the backseat once the audience gets to know the Tiny counterpart. Considering the vampire is called Coach Feratu, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out either. What we’re more focused on in any case is just how different Tiny Rick is from regular Rick.

He’s much more friendly and charming, while still displaying older Rick’s wit and sense of humour. He’s all around a much nicer person, and for a while Morty and Summer prefer having him around.

Soon though, it becomes apparent that Tiny Rick has no intention of transferring the consciousness back to the ‘real’ Rick, leading to his strange songs where Rick’s consciousness wrestled for control of his body to beg Morty and Summer for help.
