9. Mad Men The Lawnmower
Although its inclusion was clearly for comedy purposes, this is still a pretty odd scene to have in a drama about a 1960s advertising agency. The episode "Guy Walks Into An Advertising Agency" sees Sterling Cooper secure a contract with agricultural machinery firm John Deere and have one of their ride-on lawnmowers in the office building. An employee drives it into the office but things dont get shocking until slightly inebriated secretary Joan Holloway gets her hands on it. In what has been called one of the shows most memorable scenes, Joan hops on the lawnmower and proceeds to accidentally drive it over executive Guy MacKendricks foot, causing a huge spurt of blood to arc over the other employees before crashing into an office; smashing the window and knocking the door off its hinges. Its a very out there moment but one that you cant help laughing at for its sheer oddness.
