7. Skins Wild World
Although this scene is fairly well regarded and didnt do Skins any real harm, its still pretty outlandish for a drama about teenage life in Bristol. In the Series One finale, main character Tony Stonem has alienated himself from almost all of his friends through his selfish ways and habit of messing with peoples lives for his own amusement. At the episodes climax, he gets a phone call from his ex-girlfriend and walks into the road to get a better signal only to get hit by a bus seconds later. We then cut to his best friend Sid in a community centre toilet where he... starts singing Wild World by Cat Stevens. As the first series story arcs start to wrap up, we get a montage of Sid travelling through Bristol while singing. Some of the other characters get in on the act as well and sing a few lines including psychology teacher Angie, a bus driver, two men at a urinal, and Tony despite the fact that hes lying in the gutter shortly after having taken a bus weighing several tonnes to the back. Its actually a pretty good scene and rounds off the episode well but that doesnt make it any less bizarre.
