Dexter Morgan, played by the talented Michael C. Hall, is a blood-spatter specialist for the Miami Metro Police Department by day, and a serial killer with a code by night.

Hall delivers a stellar performance, showing Dexter as a friend and brother, who acts completely normal during his everyday interactions, and then as a ruthless, violent, terrifying killer. Dexter kills only criminals and “bad” people, and does so because it is something he needs.

Throughout the series Dexter’s character develops and he starts to experience emotions he never did before. He has a child, gets married, and develops his relationship with his sister. The intense and scary mixture of his normal and secret life is captivating, and his continuous clash with his urges come off as natural and realistic under Hall’s portrayal.

We all miss Dexter, and his lovable character was enough to make us forgive the show for its abysmal series finale.
