10 Male Leads That Made Their TV Show A Hit

6. Donald Draper - Mad Men

Donald Draper “made” Mad Men, at least in my eyes. The charming head of creative, played by Jon Hamm, is a dark, troubled character who just can’t seem to do things right. He is great at his job, but unwilling to compromise. Women love him, which explains his broken marriage and bad relationship with his kids.

Hamm’s career was made through this role, as he plays the smooth-talking, husky-voiced Donald Draper amazingly. Draper’s monologues and advertisement pitches in the show are breath-taking, and his internal struggles and pain comes right to the surface in many ways, throughout the show.

Donald Draper is the perfect example of a strong, charming, and broken man.

I like to think of myself as a world traveler and social butterfly, although I do spend a lot of my time watching the latest Japanese anime series, sitcoms, movies, and drama series. I live on the island of Crete, where I was born, and enjoy walking on the beach with my little cocker spaniel, Molly, when I'm not writing for WhatCulture.com and UNILAD.co.uk.
