10 Massive Stargate Plot Holes

8. Michael Sure Does Work Fast

Carson Beckett's sudden and heartbreaking death in Stargate Atlantis shocked fans. He had been a warm character on the show, a slightly bumbling yet highly capable doctor, not quite the same as Dr. McCoy but certainly fun enough to warrant appearing in many, many episodes. The explosion that killed him in 'Sunday' was almost as shocking as Dr. Frasier's death over on SG-1.

So, when a clone of Dr. Beckett was discovered by the Atlantis expedition, fans were overjoyed! And they looked forward to a nice, detailed explanation as to how it came about.

Well.

Apparently, the Wraith-turned human-turned Wraith, Michael, had somehow managed to source a sample of his DNA. He created a clone, one with all of the original's memories.

There we are then.

How exactly did he manage this? When would he have had the time to manage this? Was this in between his experiments in killing all of the humans, rather than resurrecting their dearly departed friends?

The logic behind the explanation is lacking for sure. The joy at having Beckett back on the show easily wiped this away though. This is one of those situations where if one peels back the surface, what's beneath has no substance. But why on Earth would you want to do that, when the charming Scottsman is back?
