10 MCU Characters Who Should Appear In Disney+'s Wakanda Series

This article has mentioned a lot about the passing of T'Challa and how the loss of the Black Panther would impact the sequel and the upcoming series. Someone will need to take up the mantle of the Black Panther and lead Wakanda, and the rightful person to take on the role would be Shuri.

If the MCU gave Shuri the mantle of the Black Panther, it would be following down the path that the comics took when T'Challa was nearly killed by Doctor Doom (which could be another way to bring the villain to Wakanda).

While this transition would likely occur in Black Panther 2, the Wakanda series could give us our first real glimpse of the new Black Panther in action. The show could centre around people trying to overthrow the kingdom as they do not respect Shuri as the new leader, thus forcing her to prove herself.

While Shuri's time as Black Panther should not be the only focus of the Wakanda series, having her presence as the new leader of Wakanda throughout the series would create interesting storylines and conflicts, especially with characters such as Killmonger and M'Baku if they are to return for the series.
