September 26th, 1969. Michael Brady & Carol Ann Martin This is the series premier and pilot episode and the only entry on this list not to fall on sweeps week. Michael Brady, architect and widower with three sons marries Carol Ann Martin, single mother with three daughters. The boys' dog and the girls' cat get lose in the middle of the couples chaotic backyard nuptials, they cause a ruckus, hilarity ensues and a historical icon of the color era is born. The episode ends in true optimistic, all American fashion with the newlyweds opting to bring the children along on the honeymoon. They also bring Alice the housekeeper and both pets, Tiger (the dog) and Fluffy (the cat). It's a rip-roaring good time for the whole family and it led to 5 more years of stuff just like it... pardon me as I technicolor yawn all up in my mouth and swallow, in honor of such riveting television...
