10 Incredible Ways The Simpsons & Family Guy Could Cross Over

1. Matt Groening Created Seth MacFarlane And It Was The Plan All Along

And finally the most likely outcome of all... Let's just say that MacFarlane was an actor/voice over artist that Groening nearly hired in the early 90's. Groening liked his voice, but couldn't find a character to fit, so instead created a second series, with characters all designed to showcase MacFarlane's talents. In an unprecedented act of foreshadowing, Groening designed the series to be a success, but also to perpetually suffer comparisons to his original work. MacFarlane agreed to front the series as "creator" until the time came that each show was waning in popularity. The true connection between the two shows would then be revealed via a one-off crossover special. This unique event would be followed by a complete merger of the separate universes, which would revitalise each by the startling innovation of making them a singular show: The Simpsons Guy. MacFarlane's role in the proceedings as "Family Guy Creator" would be commended as one of the greatest acting performances of all time, gaining him an honorary Oscar, and even more fame and wealth than he currently enjoys. Groening would transcend his already Godlike-status becoming "Lord of all Entertainment", buying Disney and directing the rest of the Star Wars and Marvel films himself, before retiring to a man-made golden volcano, that erupts chocolate and has its own unicorn farm. ... And there we have it. There's almost no point watching the episode when it airs now. No doubt Fox executives are currently in a frenzy trying to discover how all of this leaked out.
