10 Mind-Blowing Facts About Friends

7. The Cast Were Taken To Las Vegas Before The Pilot Aired To Enjoy Their Anonymity One Last Time

A few years ago, veteran sitcom director James Burrows told a fascinating story that, before Friends began airing, he took the soon-to-be-stars on a trip to Las Vegas so they could enjoy their "last shot at anonymity."

Well aware that the show was likely to take off and jettison the cast's privacy with it, he wanted them to enjoy one final big night before the onset of superstardom.

According to Burrows, they ate at Caesar’s Palace and, because none of the stars had any money, he loaned them $200 each to gamble with.

Backing up the story, Courteney Cox recently posted an image on Instagram of the anonymous trip, where they were evidently flown out to Vegas in style in a private jet. Nice.
