10 Mind-Blowing Facts About Friends

8. Courteney Cox Was The Only Friend Not To Receive An Emmy Nomination

Friends enjoyed a healthy bout of awards love during its tenure, with all of the main cast receiving Emmy nominations throughout the show's run...except for Courteney Cox.

In addition to Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer all being nominated, Lisa Kudrow won the Outstanding Supporting Actress Emmy in 1998, and Jennifer Aniston scooped an Outstanding Lead Actress win in 2002, the very same year Friends won its single Best Comedy Series Emmy.

For reasons that still aren't really clear, Cox never received even a single, solitary nod, despite being one of the show's more nuanced and believable characters, and a million miles away from the grating shenanigans of, say, Schwimmer's Ross.

Hell, even Bruce Willis won an Emmy for his guest spot on the show, and yet, there apparently wasn't room to recognise Cox's stellar work over an entire decade. For shame.
