10 Mind-Blowing Facts You Didn't Know About Babylon 5

6. It Was The First American Show To Have One Writer Script An Entire Season

Most television shows have multiple writers working on scripts for the season. It's an easy way to divide the workload and ensure one person isn't doing all of the work. But as Babylon 5's multiple story arcs began increasing in complexity, it was going to be much harder to have multiple writers working on the season. Consequently, J. Michael Straczynski took it upon himself to write every single episode of seasons 3 and 4. This Herculean effort made him the first writer to script an entire season of an American TV show by himself.

In total, Straczynski wrote 92 of Babylon 5's 114 episodes in addition to six TV movies and 13 episodes of the short-lived spinoff, Crusade.
