10 Mind-Blowing Facts You Didn't Know About Mad Men
2. Zou Bisou Bisou Went To #1 On The Billboard Charts
Both Glee and Mad Men shared the small screen during their runs, and both shows had intense, die hard fanbases. But apart from that, it would seem strange to compare the two in any way. One was a teen drama penned by the always divisive Ryan Murphy, where the character's burst into song at random intervals, and the other was a serious drama about a 1960s advertising company that follows an eclectic group of characters.
However, there was one other feature the two shared: a number one song. Glee had several number ones across The Billboard Charts, of course there are a LOT of different types of billboard charts, but still! Glee having number one songs attached to their show would not surprise anyone, Mad Men however...
The show managed to score their #1 on the World Digital Song Sales chart during the season premiere of season 5, in which Don's new wife Megan serenades her husband in front of his 50th birthday party guests. The scene was an introduction to Megan as we didn't really know much about her as a person at this point and Weiner really wanted to emphasis how different she was from the rest of the characters right off the bat.
Everyone involved knew it would become a stand out scene from the show, but no one knew the heights it would reach! Zou Bisou was in everybody's heads for weeks, and luckily the show released a full digital version of the song, because everyone downloaded it!
