10 Mindblowing Ways That Arrow Could Go Out With A Bang

1. Oliver Sacrifices Himself In The Crisis On Infinite Earths

Heavily telegraphed in this year's Elseworld's crossover, it's rumoured that the Green Arrow will be the biggest casualty of the next crossover.

Towards the end of the story, Oliver cut a deal with the Monitor in order to secure his assistance against John Deegan and his power to alter all reality. The Flash and Supergirl were trying to slow down time by speeding around the globe in opposite directions, but the effort was doomed to failure - worse, Barry and Kara were going to die in the attempt.

The Monitor agreed to save the two heroes, but asked for something in return. The speculation was that, given that the next crossover would be Crisis On Infinite Earths (like Elseworlds on... well, Mirakuru), someone would die. And that someone would be Oliver Queen.

Predicating against this outcome is the fact that it's been telegraphed so long in advance. As series finales go, ones where the outcome is predictable a full year beforehand don't tend to be especially memorable. Still... ten episodes takes us right up to mid-December 2019 - the exact same point that Elseworlds dropped in 2018.

Is the Green Arrow doomed to sacrifice himself to save the multiverse? As heroic endings go, it's not the worst.
