All trailers and images so far have promised us tension, turmoil and outright carnage. But Khal Drogo promised to cross the Narrow Sea and conquer Westeros so... yeah... s**t happens.

We€™ve all seen trailers that look awesome but turn out to contain the only exciting seconds of footage in the whole film or show. While everyone is so deservedly excited by the implications of the season 6 promos and the fact we€™re going off book here, there are concerns.

Previous seasons of €˜Thrones have had a few irksome trends that have, like a perfectly placed lance, stuck under our Gorgets over the years. With the stakes as high as they are this time around, some of these just have to go. No doubt book fans are terrified of this brave new world, but all fans will be expecting this season to be something very special.

Here are ten transgressions collected from season one all the way to the last episode so far. If too many of these are perpetuated, Game Of Thrones may be in need of a Maester. Maybe even a red priest.
