10 Mistakes Game Of Thrones Can’t Afford To Repeat In Season 6

1. Episode Nine Moments

We€™ve all been conditioned into expecting some pretty big things to go down in the penultimate episode of each season with the last episode used for wrap up. This as a trend is excellent, but if it is treated as a rule it becomes harmful, making the show too predictable.

I don€™t know about you but when I know something is going to happen I do get excited but It€™s unlikely that any shocks or epic moments will take me off guard with something like the episode nine rule.

To give an example, the battle for the wall was epic and action packed. Every nuance was played out to maximum dramatic effect and it was pure perfection. But the effect is finite because I knew that this was episode nine and the season was coming to an end.

In contrast, Jamie Lannister abruptly had his sword hand chopped off by Locke in the third episode of season 3 and it resonated so much. Nobody even died and it was more memorable than some episode nine moments.

It€™s probably best going forward if that ninth episode was less laden and they peppered these moments throughout the series. We don€™t need rid of it completely but it may serve the season better to share the love.
