The Simpsons has embraced its fair share of outlandish plotlines, but why hasn't more negative attention been brought to the likes of Simpsorama, the recent Simpsons/Futurama crossover episode that apparently accepts the fact that these shows are set in the same world? Uh, really? Despite being created by the same guy, these "universes" are very different indeed, and now we're just okay with the fact that these characters co-exist? What? Most of the reviews for Simpsorama seem to have targeted the fact that this just isn't a very good episode, failing to address the most disconcerting aspect: this is a CANON episode. It's not a Halloween special, but a fully-fledged episode in the Simpsons mythology! How does that work? How does that even make sense? Put simply, it just doesn't... absolutely, this is the ultimate example of the show taking things too far. R.I.P., Simpsons. Like this article? Agree or disagree with our picks?
