10 Moments When The Simpsons Went Too Far

7. Homer Is Sexually Assaulted By A Panda - Homer Vs. Dignity (2000)

It's somewhat ironic that an episode of The Simpsons which has become famous for plagiarising itself was branded with the title Homer Vs. Dignity. Renowned for its recycled plot lines (of which there are at least four), the most insane and outright ridiculous part inherent to this messy 22 minutes of television comes when Homer Simpson, dressed as a panda, is taken into a cave by an actual panda and is sexually assaulted. Seriously. It's a shame that, as earlier as the year 2000, writers of Simpsons were resorting to plot lines that included a) Homer dressing up as a panda and being raped by a panda and b) HOMER DRESSING UP AS A PANDA AND BEING RAPED BY A PANDA. Sure, it happens off-screen, but you can't deny the implications of the gag as our favourite Simpson is dragged into a cave by a very confused bear named Ping-Ping. Way too far, guys. WTF?
