10 More Animes You Must Watch Before You Die
4. Erased
Anyone who is willing to take on the time travel genre should certainly be considered brave. Not only has it been done to death in what feels like a million different ways, it's usually done so poorly that audiences get more enjoyment from pointing out plot holes than from the actual show itself.
Erased is one of the better shows to try and bend the rules of time and it definitely does it in a unique way, which is great news for us. The twelve episode mini series follows Satoru Fujinuma, a man who has the ability to turn back time during dangerous moments or potentially fatal situations.
However, when he uses his power during a particularly harrowing situation, Satoru, is sent eighteen years into the past. That's right, he's a grown man, in a child's body.
Instead of doing the obvious thing, which would be to "predict" major events and become absurdly rich, he does the noble thing of trying to solve a child murder case from his hometown that has haunted him all the way to adulthood
Unlike some of the shows on this list, Erased has a relatively short run, which makes for a concise story that doesn't get too sidetracked at any point.
