Was there any chance that Firefly wouldn't be included on a list of shows that need revivals? The story of Joss Whedon's doomed space western is well known, and not just among Browncoats. Firefly was butchered from the start by Fox, who ordered a reshoot of the pilot (though the original pilot would later air), and aired the episodes out of order, making the overarching story impossible to follow. Cancellation was quickly upon the show, which didn't even get a full season - and yet it survived thanks to one of the most rabid fanbases this side of Trekkies. Rabid enough, in fact, that it got a big screen, big budget revival in the way of a major film, Serenity. That film, however, was hit and miss, killing off a pair of beloved characters, and not quite satisfying the Browncoat hoards. Which means a revival, however unlikely, should still be a consideration, because the fanbase is just there, waiting for it. In fact, as recently as this fall Nathan Fillion and others involved in the series were asked about it, and didn't close the door - and really, you should never say never, what with revivals becoming all the rage.
