10 More TV Shows Marvel Must Make

10. Ka-Zar

kazarWhat Is It? This might be familiar to those of you who have clear memories of the X-Men animated series from the 90s. Ka-Zar was born Kevin Plunder, eldest son of Robert Plunder, an English scientist who discovered the Savage Land. For those of you unaware, the Savage Land is a tropical wildlife preserve in Antarctica, created by aliens, that is home to not only warring savages but also dinosaurs. While on a trip to the Savage Land with his father, Kevin was orphaned and raised by Zabu, a sabertooth tiger. Becoming a master hunter, Kevin takes on the name Ka-Zar, which means €œson of the tiger€ in the language of the man-apes. Meanwhile, Kevin€™s brother, Parnival, establishes himself the lord of Castle Plunder and uses it as a front for his criminal activities. Later on, Ka-Zar eventually met, fell in love with, and married his soulmate, Shanna the She-Devil, who also came from the modern world and prefers the primal nature of the Savage Land. How To Do It Right? This is probably the most difficult one to do right. Setting-wise, you don€™t need dinosaurs to show up every episode, even if the show is in the Savage Land. And Ka-Zar had a comic book series in the late 90s that featured him going to New York to stop his brother. But the biggest problem with Ka-Zar is really Zabu. A TV budget isn€™t the same as a film budget, and Zabu€™s prominence in the series could really eat up a large portion of the budget. And you have to use Zabu€”doing a Ka-Zar series without Zabu would be like doing a Knight Rider series without KITT. But if you could get over that hurdle, a Ka-Zar series that either alternates between the Savage Land and New York or picks one or the other could be a lot of fun.
